To keep your cake lovely and moist and providing a smooth base for the fondant icing we cover our sponge cakes in a layer of light and fluffy butter cream, dark or white chocolate ganache. Our naked and semi-naked wedding cakes are filled with either butter cream or cream cheese frosting. We do not use “fresh” cream for these cakes as they would have to be eaten within an hour of assembly so wouldn’t last the length of the wedding breakfast.
Our fruit cakes are covered in a traditional white marzipan undercoat before fondant icing. Our deliciously moist fruit cakes are made with VSOP Cognac soaked vine and orchard fruits with spices. We do not use uts in our fruit cake recipes.
Your cake can then be decorated in your chosen style. We offer a wide variety of handmade sugar paste flowers, piping with royal icing and also offer many different design ideas…
If you would like your cake decorated with fresh flowers or non edible materials, we will liaise with your florist and all such items must be removed before the cake is eaten.
